The Unique home pottery course
How it works:
I take you through the basics of hand building with a step by step DVD, giving you the chance to pause and take time to learn.
When you have finished making your pieces, you can drop them off to the studio in Whitstone near Bude to be fired in the kiln. (collection service available)
Step 3,4,5 and more...
You then have the opportunity to collect your work or go on to the next step of glazing. It's up to you. If you want to make more, then you can buy a clay and firing only package. With DVDs, informal advice and equipment hire at your disposal it will be like having your own studio with out the costs. There will also be the chance to meet up with other pottery box members for raku outside firing days and more.

The Pottery is purpose built with great lighting and plenty of work space, you can choose from the traditional work benches and stools to a more relaxed approach around an old kitchen table, great when your with friends, its set in the grounds of our smallholding nestled next to our goose pond, with stunning views across the local countryside, you will often see the horses and geese walk past the window, and the chickens and Big Bertie our pet pig are never too far away. Wonderful surroundings coupled with the pleasure of working with clay is a great combination for winding down from the stress of everyday.
How the Pottery Box works
For many years I have been teaching children and adults alike, only to find, that at the end of the course people have to stop their new found love due to financial outlay or space reasons. (Wheels and kilns are not cheap and take up a lot of room!) So I came up with the idea of Pottery Box enabling people to enjoy the world of clay for as long as they like.

It’s a Great opportunity to meet fellow members and have a chat about your new found love
I have been teaching ceramics for many years now and I absolutely love teaching. I find that sharing my love of ceramics through teaching feels so rewarding and allows me to view my own work from a less clouded perspective. During my time teaching I have met many people that love pottery, but don't have the facilities to enjoy it as a full time hobby. My ethos has always been "art for everyone," so I decided to create the Pottery Box, bringing the studio to you.
