Come and relax in a friendly  welcoming environment where you can just be yourself with no expectations or pressure , These courses are a maximum of 6 people  so you get loads of help along the way by Angelique a Well Known Sculptor with over 20 yrs experience in teaching . All abilities welcome from beginners to advanced  10 till 4 with a break for lunch, This is an adult course so 16 yrs and over

The Slab work and hand Built forms Days ventures into the world of rolling clay out into slabs or coiling  to produce everything from butter dishes and vases  to organic sculptural vessels and forms,

The Animal and bird sculpture Days looks at how to look at the anatomy of your chosen piece , the best way to form it, with useful hints and tips along the way to give your sculpture life !

  What to expect

We start with a demonstration and introduction  to all the different  techniques and  possibilities, then Angelique will help you come up with your own inspiration on what to create and the best technique to use for your form and will be close at hand to help and guide you through the process for the whole day . The possibilities are endless  !  some people may like to sketch out their pieces first but this is not essential. Then you get creating. By lunchtime you should have the main form of your piece created (but don't panic if you haven't :) . relax and get to know each other over lunch with Angelique

 (Bring your own with a large variety of hot and cold drinks, biscuits and snacks  available to help yourself to through out the day )

In the afternoon you will be given another small demonstration on finishing and detail techniques , along with colour finish ideas , then for the rest of the afternoon you  can finish your pieces and then stain or paint them. Don't forget the best bit where you get to step back and admire what you have achieved.

 All work is available for collection around 4 weeks later  after firing and glazing
